The icons of the city: Tower Bridge and London Eye

If London is known for anything besides Big Ben, it is for its iconic landmarks like the Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

Tower Bridge was built between 1886 and 1894. It has become an icon of the city and one of the busiest bridges in the world, with over 40,000 people crossing the River Thames via Tower Bridge every day. Additionally, the bridge can be raised to allow the passage of ships.

The London Eye is a large Ferris wheel located on the bank of the Thames, offering some of the best views of the city from above. It was recognized as the tallest big wheel in Europe with 135 meters when it opened to the public in the year 2000. Other places where you can get excellent views of the city from above are the skyscrapers, like the Sky Garden or Horizon 22.
